Education of Henry Adams

Wow, I really didn't like this essay. Not because it wasn't well written, but maybe because it was TOO well written. To me it was long, drawn out and boring. I think the reason for that is because I'm not used to his style of writing and I'm not used to all the big words he uses. It would take me an awful long time if I went and looked up every word that he used (that I didn't understand) just to get a definition. Also, as I read the essay it felt as though he would trail off and get distracted, then come back to the original subject. Sometimes I couldn't even tell who he was talking about because I'd put the book down to go get something to eat or take a short break and when I come back I wouldn't remember who was talking, because the writer likes to say "he" a lot. I would think that it would be a little easier to follow if the writer would mention the name of who was talking a little more often.
